Karen R. Jenkins is the President and CEO of KRJ Consulting, bringing with her more than three decades of solid leadership in the management and financial industry. Her diverse background and skills contribute to a proven track record in ensuring that strategic visions are realized. Karen excels as a visionary leader, overseeing operations, P&L, and organizational management for both start-ups and growth organizations. She is results-oriented, with a decisive leadership style and a proven track record of leading organizations and integrating an engaging culture. Karen's areas of expertise include Management Consulting, Certified Executive/Leadership Coaching, Training/Leadership Development, Financial Services, Change Management/Organizational Development, Certified Housing Counselor/Instructor, and Strategic Planning/Project Management.

Brenda F. Anderson

Senior Management Consultant

Brenda F. Anderson, a Senior Management Consultant at KRJ Consulting and the President & CEO of Galilee Agency, boasts more than three decades as a leader in organizational development, working with Fortune 500 corporations, DBEs, SBEs, and disadvantaged communities. She has held key leadership roles in human resources, training and development, operations, accounting, and financial management. Additionally, Brenda has led organizational and leadership development engagements across the country. She has served as an Interise Program Facilitator for the Charlotte Emerging Leaders Program sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and as the Program Facilitator for various programs, including the Carolinas Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council, Greater Women Business Sonoco Leadership Academy, and Central Piedmont Community College’s “Get Up and Grow” Small Business Development Program.


Alvin “Al” Austin

Management Consultant

Alvin "Al" Austin, a Management Consultant, has a career spanning over 25 years in executive leadership roles within major non-profits, educational institutions, and state/local governments. His unwavering focus on health and wellness, policy development, community engagement, workforce development, higher education, and accessible transportation options has defined his career. Al's notable role as the former Director for the Office of HBCU Outreach at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) underscores his commitment to creating inclusion and opportunities for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) in the transportation industry. In his current role at KRJ Consulting, Al excels in problem-solving, value creation, and enhancing business performance. He actively seeks opportunities for business growth and meaningful partnerships, all while continuing his advocacy for marginalized communities, diversity and inclusion, affordable housing, and public safety, making him a respected community leader and agent of positive change.


David L. Howard

Management Consultant

David L. Howard, a Management Consultant/Subject Matter Expert and Founding Principal of DL Howard Consulting Group, LLC, is a senior executive and transformational leader with a broad range of experiences in both public and private sector industries such as transportation, smart innovation, technology, diversity, equity and inclusion, economic and real estate development, public policy strategy, and general operations. Howard most recently served as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer for the North Carolina Pandemic Recovery Office (NC PRO). Previously, he served as the Associate Administrator of Policy and Governmental Affairs for the Federal Highway Administration, where he provided strategic direction, oversight, and management of four operational teams – Highway Policy Information, Transportation Policy Studies, International Programs & Legislative Affairs, and Policy Communication. He led the FHWA’s national Ladders of Opportunity programming, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
