Karen R. Jenkins takes over as Board Chair of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce
KRJ Consulting (KRJC), a professional services consulting firm, announced Karen R. Jenkins is now serving as the Chair of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Jenkins officially took over the new role at the Columbia Chamber’s 120th Diamond Gala on October 5. It is a historic moment for the organization; Jenkins is the first Black female to hold this position.

Jenkins, President and CEO of KRJ Consulting. “As a small business owner, it’s an honor to be the voice and advocate for an organization that understands businesses are the heartbeat of every community. I look forward to leading the Columbia Chamber and celebrating this new chapter.”
A longtime member of the Columbia Chamber, Jenkins has held various roles on the Board of Directors over the years, most recently helping launch the Midlands Minority Business Accelerator program. Jenkins also serves as Chair of the SC Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee and is a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, Vistage, and is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Program.
KRJ Consulting celebrated its 15th anniversary earlier this year. It was a milestone marked by a new phase of growth and development for the Columbia-based company, which now includes 23 employees and six consultants across multiple states, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC.
